En 2022, le musée du Louvre prêtait au Louvre-Lens le Scribe accroupi, œuvre emblématique du département des Antiquités égyptiennes, pour fêter les 10 ans du musée du Louvre-Lens. Un an plus tard, le Louvre réaffirme son engagement aux côtés du Louvre-Lens avec le prêt de La Dentellière (1670-1671), chef-d’œuvre de Johannes Vermeer. Après sa présentation dans l’exposition-événement Vermeer au Rijksmuseum d’Amsterdam, ce tableau iconique rejoint la Galerie du temps du Louvre-Lens pour s’offrir aux yeux de tous ses visiteurs à partir du 28 juin, pour une durée de près d’un an.

THE MUSÉE DU LOUVRE-LENS WELCOMES JOHANNES VERMEER'S LACEMAKER, THE MUSÉE DU LOUVRE'S ICONIC MASTERPIECE
In 2022, to mark the tenth anniversary of the Musée du Louvre-Lens, the Musée du Louvre lent it The Seated Scribe, an iconic work from the Département des Antiquités Égyptiennes. One year later, the Louvre is reaffirming its commitment to the Louvre-Lens with the loan of The Lacemaker (1670–71), the masterpiece by Johannes Vermeer. Following its display in the Vermeer exhibition-event at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, this iconic painting is joining the Gallery of Time at the Louvre-Lens for visitors to admire from 28 June, for a duration of one year.
